Zapier 102: Build Better Automations (Real Examples)

Gift ImasuenL2 · 3 views

In the last video, we explained what Zapier is, how it works, and how to build your first simple Zap from scratch.

If you have not watched that lesson yet, start here:

   • Zapier 101: Save Hours Every Week with Sim...

In today’s lesson, we are going deeper into some powerful Zapier features that give you more control over how and when your automations run.

These features help you build better workflows that do not just run every time something happens, but run only when the right condition is met.

In this video, you will learn:

Schedule by Zapier — how to run Zaps on a timer, such as daily, weekly, or monthly, without waiting for an external trigger.

Filter by Zapier — how to stop a Zap from continuing unless a specific condition is met, for example, only allowing urgent form submissions to go through.

Paths by Zapier — how to create different branches in your automation so different actions can happen based on different situations.

Weather by Zapier — how to use weather information in location-based automations, such as sending alerts to logistics teams or field workers.

In the live demo, we will build:

A scheduled automation that sends a daily email reminder.

A filtered automation that only sends an email and saves a record when a form submission is marked urgent.

A practical workflow that combines Schedule, Weather, Filter, and Email to send alerts only when certain conditions are met.

By the end of this session, you will understand how to build Zapier automations that are more flexible, more practical, and better suited for real business workflows.
