If You Have Passed The Foundational VA Stage

Gift ImasuenL2 · 8 views

If you are reading this right now and you know you have already passed the foundational VA stage, then you are probably at the point where you are asking:

“What area of VA should I focus on?”

“What niche should I go into?”

“Which skill should I learn next?”

That is a good stage to be in.

At this point, you are no longer just trying to understand the basics of remote work. You are now trying to decide the kind of support you want to provide and the direction you want to grow into.

This is where niching comes in.

As a Virtual Assistant, you can niche down in different ways.

You can niche down by role, for example:

Admin VA
Social Media VA
Customer Support VA

You can also niche down by industry, for example:

Coaches and consultants
E-commerce businesses
Real estate businesses

This is why Virtual Assistance is broad.

Two people can both call themselves Virtual Assistants, but the kind of work they do may be very different.

One person may be supporting a coach with course uploads, student records, reminders, and community management.

Another person may be supporting an e-commerce business with customer enquiries, order updates, product posts, and follow-ups.

Another person may be supporting a business with automation, forms, spreadsheets, email workflows, and simple systems.

So if you have passed the foundational stage, you can now start watching the niche-based teachings based on your interest.

We have already started sharing videos in areas like automation, lead generation, medical VA, and more will still be added as we continue.

But please take note of this:

The niche-based videos are not foundational lessons.

They are for people who already understand the basic tools and how online work happens.

So if you are still struggling with Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Calendar, online meetings, communication, file organisation, online research, Canva, and basic task tools, please do not rush into this stage yet.

Go back and build your foundation first.

If you jump into niche-based lessons too early, you may feel confused, not because the lesson is bad, but because you do not yet have the background knowledge needed to follow it properly.

For those who want to understand niches properly, click on the Hub Store and get the VA Starter Pack.

The VA Starter Pack breaks down different VA niches and industries so you can understand the options available and begin to think about where you may fit.

Now, For those who have passed the foundational stage, you can now continue with the niche-based videos.

So if automation is one of the areas you are interested in, and you already have your foundational VA skills, go ahead and watch the video.

And even if automation is not your area of interest, you can still watch any of the other niche-based videos we have shared or will continue to share, such as lead generation, medical VA, and other VA niches. But we may not be able to cover everything at once.

So if you want to go ahead, understand the different niches available, and check within yourself which one may match your interest, I will mention it again:

Go to the Hub Store and get the VA Starter Pack.

The VA Starter Pack will help you see the different VA niches and industries, so you can begin to understand the options available to you.

From there, you can even start learning ahead.

You can go to YouTube, search for free resources, check for free Udemy courses, or use any helpful learning material that connects to the niche you are interested in.

But please remember this part:

Make sure you already have your foundational VA skills first.

Because once your foundation is in place, learning a niche becomes easier, and you will not feel like you are jumping into something you do not understand.
